A) Dewaxed Bleached Shellac Powder
Hind
Suter Shellac Pvt. Ltd. is pioneer in manufacturing Dewaxed Bleached
Lac. Dewaxed Bleached Shellac in powder form is manufactured by us in
our own factory under expert supervision, by using the best quality
Seedlac. It is non-toxic, harmless and approved for application in the
food industry. Its solution is clear, transparent, and very light
coloured. Alcoholic or water-alkali solution can be obtained from
dewaxed bleached shellac powder.
Application
Used
in the Pharmaceutical industry for coating of Capsules, Pills and
Tablets, to protect the internal ingredients (drugs). It is also used
in many industries like cosmetics, food packaging, chocolate coatings,
foils and laminated paoers, ink, flexograficsflexografics, hair-laquer, insulating varnishes, leather dressing, electrical and electronic and rubber compounds etc.
Solubility
Dewaxed
Bleached Shellac readily dissolves in an Aqueous Alkaline solution at a
temperature of 40oC on stirring. It is soluble in Solvents containing
Hydroxyl group, but insoluble in Glycerol, Palmitic acid, and
Hydrocarbon. Also soluble in Methanol, Ethanol, Propanol, Acetic acid,
Formic acid etc.
B) Aleurtic Acid
Aleuritic
Acid is one of the most important derivatives of Lac and is obtained
from Shellac by saponification. Hind Suter Shellac Pvt. Ltd.
Manufactures special Technical grade of Aleuritic Acid from Seedlac. It
is a white and in fine powder form and mostly colourless.
Application
HSSPL's
Aleuritic Acid is principally used in Perfumery and Fragrance/Flavour
industries for the synthetic preparation of civetone, dehydro civetone
and related lactones.

Aleuritic
Acid finds major application in the preparation of perfumes. 16t is
also used in certain Pharmaceutical preparations as well.
Dewaxed Decolourised Flake Shellac
Natural
Resin Lac is the resinous secretion of the tiny insect Kerria Lacca,
which in its refined form is known as Shellac. The quality and
specification of Shellac depends on the raw material, as well as the
process used for refining.
Dewaxed Decolourised Shellac is produced
from carefully selected for refining. Dewaxed Decolourised Shellac is
produced from carefully selected raw material by the solvent extraction
system using activated carbon.
Properties
- Good film forming properties, a high gloss and excellent adhesion to various substrates, including human hair
- Non-toxic and physiologically harmless
- Good solution in ethanol and lower alcohols
- Can be dissolved in water by adding an alkali like Ammonia, Amp, Tea, etc.
